Information about Student-Centered
PowerPoint Projects

I find that students learn well when they use language to complete projects on their own.  Among the various tools available for students to use for projects, I frequently use PowerPoint.  Not only is this software readily available, but  the technology skills that students develop in  using it will serve them well in their future academic and professional practice.

On this page, I've put information that I hope teachers will be able to use in developing their own student PPT projects.  First, I've put links to some sample projects that my students have done at various proficiency levels.  I've also provided the student handouts that describe the projects.  Finally,
because the students' experience in doing the project is far more important to language learning than the final product, I've attached a lesson plan that describes the process of doing the project for a class.

I've also added some other links that people can use if they want to learn more about using PPT.  These links are also good resources to pass on to students who are working on projects.
