  Why are we doing a web page about the Civil War in Atlanta?

We are students from The language Institute of Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Our class is composed of students from many different countries. The following countries are represented in our class: Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guinea, Korea, Venezuela. The Civil War interested us mainly because: 

• This project permitted us to obtain a certain knowledge about the American history, and the Civil War was one of the most important events in the history of the United States. 
• Atlanta was one of the most important place during the Civil War, and we live in Atlanta. 
• We realized that many people from foreign countries don't know much about the American Civil War.
