Hashiguchi Jr. has a typical Japanese bar style. It is not very formal but not very casual. Inside this restaurant are three kinds of sitting places. One area is a sushi counter which faces the cook who makes sushi. This is a suitable seat for people who want to eat sushi and order it one by one. You can see fresh fish in a see-through refrigerator and decide which fish you will have. Another dinning area is ordinary table and chair space. Maybe, it is a good idea to sit here when you have a light meal. Last area is a room which is separated from other spaces by walls and sliding doors. This room is appropriate for a little formal occasion because it is isolated from other seats and is private. Before you come into this room, you need to take off your shoes. In the middle of this room is a big Japanese table, and you have to sit directly on the tatami, which is a Japanese floor. At these spaces have many decorations such as empty bottles of Japanese sake, curtains, dolls and fans, which remind people of Japan. Once you have entered this restaurant, you can feel as if you were in Japan.
