My Past Biography

My career was decided by destiny. When I was born in Korea in 1978, I wasn't breathing. Therefore, my parents said prayers to God, and I started breathing. They gave me the name Sung-Jick, which means “priesthood” in English. Since I was born, they have wanted me to be a priest. Eventually, my major was theology when I entered Yonsei University in Seoul. However, sometimes I resisted my destiny, and I sought other lives. I was a singer in a rock band, and I was an actor in a play. However, I couldn't find satisfaction in these lives. I thought deeply about my life, and I found that, when I studied theology, I was very happy. Therefore, I decided on my future job: priest.

My Present Biography

I am preparing for several plans to my future now. First, I am studying to improve my English skills because I want to be a priest. I’m learning English because I don't want only people in my country to be able to understand my sermons. I want anyone in the world to be able to understand my sermons. Second, I am accumulating various experiences by traveling. Various experiences are very important for me to preparing for my future because a priest must understand various people. I can have various experiences and meet various people by traveling. For example, I met a cannibal race in the Philippines in 1998. I was afraid of them, but they did not eat me, fortunately. That was a strange experience in my life. Now, I am preparing for traveling in Alaska to experience extremely cold weather. In these ways, several plans are being prepared for my future.

My Future Biography

I will have various jobs in the future. First, I will be a theologian. This job is a destiny for me. When I study theology, I am very happy, and this job will be my main job in the future. Second, I will be an amateur singer in a small rock band. In fact. I have a rock band in Korea now. The members of the band are my friends. They want the band to stay together. Therefore, the band will continue in the future. Third, I will be an amateur director. I learned the skills of making a movie in my university. I made short movies about religion, social problem, etc. I still have a team for making movies. The member of the team want to be professional directors, but I don't want to be a professional director. I just want to be an amateur director. Therefore, I will make a new team for making a movie. In these ways, I will do many things in my future.
