HANNA'S BIOGRAPHY

 It was hard to find my interest in my past life. I was born in 1982 in Seoul, Korea. Since childhood, I have been interested in music and other languages. When I was in elementary school, I learned to play piano and clarinet. After that, I finished elementary school. And I went to junior high. In these years, I studied French and Japanese. Moreover, I studied in elementary, junior high and high school. After I graduated from high school, I wanted to take a Japanese course. However, I couldn¡¯t go for private reason. Finally, instead of the Japanese, I chose a business course, but I did not study enthusiastically. In fact, I wasn¡¯t much interested in it. Since then, I have started to look for my real interest. After Idid a lot of thinking, I decided to go abroad to study.

 Ever since I came to the U.S., I have wanted to be a good English speaker. When I attended university in Korea, I wasn¡¯t interested in learning English at all. I didn¡¯t have a reason why I want to study English here. However, it changed my mind when I came here. I¡¯m eager to speak, to listen, to hear and to write English. It¡¯s probably one of the desires that all foreign students have. Most people who live here speak English. I consider that very important. In fact, everyone speaks English. When I was in Korea, I never had to learn Korean because it was my native language, so if wasn¡¯t a big deal, but in the U.S., I have to study hard to learn English. It irritates me when people don¡¯t understand me sometimes. It¡¯s not easy to master English, but also to learn a foreign language. One day, I¡¯ll speak English fluently. I would never go back to Korea until I¡¯m fluent. I had made the promise to myself when I came here.

 I want to have two jobs. One is to work as a translator and the other one is a restaurant owner. The reason why I¡¯m studying English is because I want to be a translator. I have to read many books. I read a book called ¡°The Decalogue To Success¡± a few weeks ago. The book said ¡°when you¡¯re twenties, you should study for your future, and then when you¡¯re thirties, you won¡¯t be late even if you start to earn money.¡± After I read it, I have thought about it again about my thoughts. I¡¯m going to study English for several years until I master it. After I master, I will get a job that would relate to translation, and then I¡¯ll start to make money for several years for my own restaurant. This plan will be successful in ten years at least from now. After I have my stable economic ability, I¡¯ll get married. But I¡¯m not sure about my wedding plan. If I unexpectedly meet a good man within the short time, I won¡¯t want any more time to marry. I want to have many children because I don¡¯t have any sisters or brothers. I want my children to have a lot of siblings because I know how it is grow as a single child. I think it¡¯s good for their personality and it will help them socially. I want to have a common life. Sometime the commonness things are considered extremely difficulty things.
